Synchronization of contacts on different PCs via the cloud

more options

Hello, please, is there any way to have the contacts syncronized on multiple computers that I have thunderbird on so that all the PCs have the same contact database at all times? For example, I have a thundebird in my office where I have work contacts. I would like to have these contacts automatically in the laptop that I have in my home office, or on my personal PC, which I sometimes also use for work, and it is very annoying when my home office laptop does not know the contacts that I work with on the PC in the office. Is there a solution to have contacts sync automatically across PCs? For example, is it not possible to somehow log in to all thundebird accounts on different PCs, etc. and keep this database of contacts? Thank you and have a nice rest of the day.

If the contacts are defined in an account with a provider like Google, it's just a matter of adding them as a CardDAV address book in TB on all PCs (click New Address Book button in Address Book), to have them sync over all devices. Other providers are supported if they have a known CardDAV URL, or possibly with add-ons such as TbSync or CardBook.

The process is the same with calendars (CalDAV).

I'm sorry, but I don't understand this procedure. Can't it be explained in a simpler way? Thank you

I suggest you start by adding a gmail account to all computers, then adding Google Contacts as a CardDAV address book, as described above. Enter your gmail address in the setup dialog, then enter the account password in the authentication window; the address book (Contacts) in the gmail account is autodetected.

Once you're familiar with this process, you can consider other options or service providers.

I too have this question. Looked and tried the solutions, but not working or buttons absent. TB ver 115.3.2 (64-bit)

Which buttons are absent? See the picture that shows the New Address Book button on the Address Book tab of TB 115.

Please, in the version after the update, you can't put a link in the text, every time I put the word LINK and click on it, that I click through it to a long URL link, so thunderbird freezes and you can't do anything with it anymore... Does anyone know solution?
