Thunderbird's recent update to 115.3.1 is not good for me. I want to roll back.
I am very unhappy with this new Thunderbird update to 115.3.1. Everything being changed is killing my office's productivity. How can I roll back that update to the one before it.
Alternatively, is there any way to make this new update look and act like the previous version. I want all the control buttons back that used to be there.

I'm bumping this topic. Since update, TB refused to sync messages for Gmail, one of the biggest mail operators in the world, it won't sync messages that are available on all my other devices. This is a bugged software and should not've been released from BETA.

All the toolbar buttons available in version 102 are also available in 115, right+click in the toolbar > pick customize.
The buttons at the top of the folder may be removed by clicking the "kebab" three dots and choosing to hide the header, or unchecking the "show" choices. (see screen shot)

Such a shock to open up and find such a jumble! I have made extensive use of 'Manually Sort Folders'
A developer is actively working on a native (i.e. without an addon) folder sort capability which should appear in a future release. I believe the patch is nearing review, but I cannot predict when it will become available. I have some doubts that it will be made available in version 115. Progress will be provided through https://enterprise.thunderbird.net/manage-updates-policies-and-customization/thunderbird-preferences-enterprise
I hope you find this information to be helpful.
Unfortunately it is not made totally clear that the best way to get answers in this venue is for each user to post their own topic. We want to help you, so please create a new topic if you are still having trouble https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird
That said, here is information on a few subjects:
- There are changes in going to version 115 (or any new version) that can make it incompatible with the prior version and therefore unreliable to go back - at best it may work, and at worst you have a mess that is time consuming or impossible to make work. "Going back" sounds like a simple thing, but in practice the best general advice is don't try it, it isn't supported, and neither you nor support will want to spend time sorting out the potential mess.
- If you are having performance problems, see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Memory_Usage_Problems and post your results in a new topic with precise details about *what* is slow and *when* it is slow.
- As we always do, enterprise users were invited to test the new version and give feedback several months prior to making version 115 public. That announcement was made in the topicbox mentioned at https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/organizations/
Again, please create a new topic if you are still having trouble https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird because we really do want to help.
I failed to mention, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-115-supernova-faq will be updated to provide more information about making version 115 look more like version 102.
