Why is Firefox capturing my screen?

more options

I have recently noticed that Firefox is capturing my screen - I have disabled the permissions for Firefox on my computer (MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.0), but it has not made a difference. How can I disable this - I cannot find any settings in my Firefox / Mozilla account that allow me to disable it? Is this some kind of glitch or something that I need to be worried about? I have attached a screenshot of the icon that is permanently activated.

It is an OS feature. It should be enough to disable it under Preferences > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording

Try to disable Accessibility Services in Firefox as the Troubleshooting Information show:

accessibility.isActive: true

Thank you both for your help! I had already disabled Screen Recording under Preferences when I posted this question, so this did not solve the issue. I have now changed the accessibility setting according to the guide you sent and this also made no difference.
