Hello! Like many before me, the tabs crash every time I got to YouTube. The only message I get is

"Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! Choose Restore This Tab to reload the page." This option does NOTHING to solve the issue.

Not sure why, but I've never had this issue before until about a week ago. I don't want to use another browser. I prefer Firefox.

I am currently using Firefox 121.0.

Any information/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted (and Unsubmitted, if any) Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

I am getting this error too, and when I check Crash Reports, nothing is added there. I have been getting this error for a couple weeks now, but the last entry in my Crash Reports was from two years ago.

Firefox is up-to-date (121.0.1 (64-bit)), as is my OS (13.6.3).

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Yes.

I've tested several other websites and it's only Youtube that it's doing it on as far as I've been able to determine.

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile. Make sure you stay signed out of your sync account when testing.

Once I refreshed my existing profile... all websites had issues, even in Chrome. Turned out that it was some company secure certs that needed refreshing. Thanks for all your help!

Any relevant-looking messages in the Web Console or Browser Console?

What reasons did you have for using the Firefox refresh feature?

Note that a refresh may carry over issues.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.
