My wife has set up her iCloud account in Thunderbird. Receiving mails works properly When sending mails they go to the "Sent" folder, but never reach the addressed person. Very weird! I have never experienced before, that mails seem to have been sent, but did not go through without any warning.

Mails from the "Sent" folder can be successfully forwarded to the recipient

Thanks a lot, your help is very much appreciated

First, I have no solution. I do suggest that she send a test email to herself. If it arrives, that confirms that the process works. If that worked, I suggest she send to someone else, such as to you and a friend or two on different domains. That may help in identifying whatever the real issue is.
