I can't find a tutorial on how to permanently disable automatic updating in Firefox

Hello, I can't find a tutorial on how to permanently disable automatic updating in Firefox. The latest updates no longer allow the user to disable updates, which is a shame given that Firefox, an alternative to improve browsing, is better rated than Chrome. But now there's this update that gets in the way. If I want an update, I do it manually. But I can't disable it, it always keeps downloading something periodically.

PLEASE RETURN THE OPTION TO DISABLE UPDATES FOREVER.

Best is to use the ManualAppUpdateOnly policy to be able to update manually.

Note that if you use a distro Firefox version in Linux that you wont be be able to block updating as in that case your OS is controlling updates.
