Hey guys apparently I have opened a web site that instantly installed adware on my Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra 5G phone. I have installed AVG virus protection. I also have installed adblock app, and a Malware block app. Nothing works. I've tried the web fixes for Chrome. And Samsung Internet. Still nothing works. Anyone know how to fix this without resetting the phone back to factory.

Hi Keith, does the problem occur while you are browsing in Firefox? You may want to tap the menu button and go into the Add-ons manager to see what is installed and enabled.

Regarding Android apps, they probably cannot change pages in Firefox directly, but they could send links to Firefox if it's your default browser.

Tracked it down to the pop up is from Samsung Internet so I disabled Samsung Internet, so far its working. What's weird is Samsung Internet and Firefox are both running. I attached a screen shot of the pop up.

Yeah, that would definitely annoy me if it started appearing randomly.

Well I spoke to soon. Its back...lol Going to Firefox add ons doesn't tell me anything except what I can add on. Doesn't show me anything that's been installed. I didn't find a add on manager.

Nevermind I installed a ad blocker add on and now it shows add on manager. But the only add on installed is the ad blocker.

Hi Keith

What other apps have you installed to your Android device?
