How to bring back menu with bookmarks and more?

You used to have a nice menu bar, with bookmarks easily available. Now it looks like Edge, with bookmarks over on a right hand menu, with multiple clicks needed. I looked for a View option in settings and found nothing, searching on toolbar also comes up empty.

Is there a way to get that old menu bar to show back up?

When Firefox makes changes to the menu and toolbar layout the only other way is to use 3rd party userChrome.css edits to change the layout and looks and or 3rd party theme software to customize the look of browser. Beyond that I doubt the current layout will go back to how it used to look like.

And have you tried to Firefox help links as well.

I should have mentioned that this is a new laptop while my slightly less new W11 desktop still has the standard menu with File, Edit, History, Bookmarks, Tools and Help. Given that, there must be a way to turn it back on for the laptop.
