Audio cuts out and crackeling sound.
The latest update of firefox 135.0 for Android has audio issues. When I listen to music on bandcamp or you tube the audio makes a crackeling sound with sporadic drop outs. My wi fi is a very stable fiber optic provider, I did restet the router and run speed test to double check. Not a problem with my Bluetooth headphones since I re paired them. I also re installed Firefox to no avail. Samsung internet has no audio issues currently. I turned off u block origin also. It seems to be isolated to firefox version 135.0. My system is Android 14 with ui 6.1 on a Samsung a23 5g. I have seen other users complain about this with no real answer. Spent a good part of the day trying to figure it out.

Thanks for reporting this. I did see a few other questions reporting this between now & January. Thanks for sharing the phone's model & Android version. I wonder if this is only affecting certain phones.
Can you also give a link to 3 Youtube videos you see this on? Does it also happen on audio only Youtube videos with a static (non-moving) background? I'm guessing it happens on all Youtube videos. I asked for 3 examples since the developers usually have a hard time reproducing most bugs people report. But with more examples, it increases the chance they'll be able to reproduce the audio crackling bug.
I'll also check on Bugzilla (where we report Firefox bugs) to see if this has already been filed as a bug & if it has, I'll link to it here so you can start following that bug and offer to test any fixes they create or help them debug the audio bug.
hey, I also have this issue since Sunday - loud and constant static noises (crackling and popping) every time I try to listen to audio via Firefox with bluetooth headphones. It happens with both pairs of my bluetooth headphones (Beats Flex and Sony Wi-C100), but not with wired headphones or when audio is played through phone/tablet speakers. I first noticed it with YouTube but it happens with any audio that is played through the Firefox Browser, no matter which website. If I use the YouTube app or play audio through another browser like Samsung Internet or Opera, there are no static noises. It's only the combination of Firefox + Bluetooth that causes them. I have the latest Firefox for Android browser installed on both my phone (Samsung Galaxy A71 4G, Android version 13, One UI 5.1) and my tablet (Lenovo Tab M10 Plus 3rd Gen, Android version 13) and they both display this issue. Since it was asked to provide examples for which videos have these issues, I get the static noises both with videos of just people talking (https://youtu.be/IfV5f8p_Ffc?si=X2YDL-6YwaDmfOjU), videos with music and non-moving background (https://youtu.be/bKpARPFM__Q?si=J-wcwyCIRGB8EnZy), and videos with music and moving backgrounds (https://youtu.be/0tYMcDsfWpU?si=PBbAywg1Av5m516v). Again, it is not just YouTube though, and at least for me it only happens when I listen via bluetooth, but then the noises happen all the time nonstop.
I really hope this bug can be found and fixed! I've been a loyal Firefox user for years and really want to continue using the browser.
