It would help to not use scrolling posting that makes it hard to understand what is going on.

Also screenshot of the issue and when it happens.

The PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR indicates that at some point during the SSL setup/handshake process that Firefox carries on with the server, instead of getting back the expected details, Firefox got an empty response. So at that point, Firefox stopped trying to connect.

I don't know how to diagnose where the negotiations went wrong, especially with a large mainstream site that usually works for Firefox users. It's probably best to think about some unusual scenarios, such as:

(1) Is the site trying to prevent VPN use?

If you are using a VPN, some sites will prevent successful connections. You can try changing to a different exit node in your VPN software, or try connecting without VPN.

(2) Is your Firefox connect proxied?

Although most people are not intentionally using a proxy server, Firefox may discover one set up in your system settings. Sometimes forcing Firefox to ignore those settings helps with weird connection issues. Here's how:

Open the Settings page using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Settings
  • (menu bar) Tools > Settings
  • type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the very tiny search box at the top of the page, type proxy and Firefox should filter to the "Network Settings" section of the page.

Click the Settings button, change the top setting to "No Proxy" and then click the OK button at the bottom of the dialog to save your change.

(3) Can you connect in a private window (Ctrl+Shift+P)?

Private windows do not re-use cached files or previously set cookies, so this test can help determine whether one of those might be the problem.

It's also common that not all of your add-ons were given permission to run in private windows, so if it works in a private window, one of your add-ons might be behind the connection problem.

Any progress so far?
