installing firefox on n900
when i try to install firefox from the ovi store or from mozilla.com/m website, i keep getting error messages.
the error that i get is:
Unable to download 'fennec'. Application package not found.
i have done a soft refresh, i have previously installed firefox, but removed it. i am able to access all other internet sites fine, it seems to download and the screen switches to the application manager when it comes up with the error.
i'm connecting through the mobile connection (vodafone uk) i had check to see that i have the latest software which is 2.2009.51.1
any ideas would be great, i've tried disabling the devel testing application stores
Extensions installed:

Hey Edward
Not sure whether you've worked this one out yet but I had exactly the same problem.
What I did to solve the installation problem was as follows :
1. Open the standard web browser on your phone and type the following URL : Firefox 1.1 beta http://moff.mozilla.com/latest-beta/maemo/multi/
Download the pkg : fennec_1.1~b1_armel.deb
Firefox 1.0.1 == http://moff.mozilla.com/latest-beta/maemo/multi
Download the pkg : fennec_1.1~b1_armel.deb
2. Depending on which version you downloaded, open an "X terminal"
3. Execute "sudo gainroot"
4. "cd" to the directory where the debian pkg is located.
5. Once here, type "dpkg -i fennec_1.1~b1_armel.deb" if you want the new beta version and "dpkg -i fennec_1.1~b1_armel.deb" if you want to install version 1.0
That should be it. You should be able to find firefox installed correctly and if you need to uninstall, use the "Application manager -> Uninstall" to do it.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Paul
