Depending on your email provider, there will be a button above or below the window where you compose your message marked "attach files", "manage attachments", or something similar. Clicking on this will open a browser window where you select the file(s) you wish to attach. If they are large attachments you may have to wait a minute or so for them to upload to the server.
I use a hotmail.com address and when I am on my computer I have no problem send emails with attachments to others. When I use a different computer (at a friends or library, etc.) and want the return address to be my hotmail address it will not permit me to add attachments for some silly reason.
I know that I am doing something wrong but can't recall what it is... LOL
TIA, ray
I use Firefox for my e-mails. Up until two days ago I have always been able to attach files to my e-mails. But something has changed in the past two days and now when I click on the "Attach File" or paperclip, nothing happens; I don't get the drop down box. Are there some settings that I should go in and change?
I am having the same problem with using Mozilla. When I use ie, I don't have this issue.
I too have the same problem. why can't firefox explain?
For the past 2 days U have not been able to attach to files - no explanation - but I click on "attach" in my Yahoo mail (mozilla firefox) and nothing happens - actually a tiny box opens above attach saying "block:. Mozilla has to help.

Yes - why not. I need to attach
If I try to attach a file to an email Firefox crashes completely, no crash report...just an empty screen
I find the same problem just happening recently. No matter what email I use (e.g., Hotmail or Yahoo), I can't attach files. When I try to attach with Firefox, it just locks up. No issues with Chrome, Explorer, Safari or Opera. Anybody know a solution to this. Up until now Firefox was my chosen browser.
I HAVE YAHOO SERVER-WINDOWS 7---UNABLE TO ATTACH AND SEND ANYTHING-SAYS HAVE WRONG SERVER? GRRRR TKS
Why don't I see an answer from Mozilla on this issue? Guess I will just remove Firefox and go back to Internet Explorer.
I just updated to Firefox 4 and now I can't attach any files to my outgoing Yahoo emails. It worked fine up until I downloaded the new version
Oh, I forgot to add. I can still download attachments and send in Yahoo mail on another computer that still runs off the older version of Firefox. I also do not have any problems with doing it using Explorer, just the new version of Firefox
I just switched back to Firefox 3.6 and can again attach files in Yahoo mail. I'm going to stick with 3.6 until I hear they have fixed the problems with the new version
About the issue of no longer being able to attach files in Yahoo mail with Firefox (4 and 5). I had this issue and fixed it by going into tools - addons - plugins and DISABLE Shockwave Flash. With Flash enabled I can't attach files in Yahoo mail with Firefox. I can attach files in Gmail with Firefox and Flash enabled and I can use Google Chrome to attach in both Yahoo mail and Gmail. It is just the combination Firefox - Flash - Yahoo mail that is not working.
