3.6.4 has downloaded twice. After each download Firefox could not connect to Yahoo. I restored to aen earlier time and all was fine (until 3.6.4 decides to download again). What's the problem causing this problem?

Today around 7:30 pm 3.6.4 downloaded, again. Just like last time after the download Firefox could not connect to Yahoo. Like last time (sometime around a week ago)I restored a time just previous to 3.6.4 downloading and all was fine. When I went on line it went to Mozilla telling me I have 3.6.3 and need to update for security reasons. I guess it's really secure if you cannot get online, extremely frustrating and inconvenient, but secure. Please, what's the problem with this?

Your user agent has been changed by another program or extension.

See Find what version of Firefox you are using and Web sites or add-ons incorrectly report incompatible browser See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_your_useragent_string_to_its_compiled-in_default

Check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page. You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website. Filter: general.useragent If any general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then right-click that pref and choose Reset.
