I am trying to determine which add-on causes firefox to crash. When I click on 'Tools', then "add-on', it crashes every time. What can I do to find out which add-on is faulty?

Chosen solution

To check to see if an add-on is the culprit, follow the procedure in the troubleshooting extensions and themes article.

Something else you can try, open your profile folder, for details of how to find it see the profiles article. Now close Firefox and delete extensions.cache, extensions.rdf and extensions.ini, when you re-start Firefox those files will be rebuilt. This may help if one of those files is corrupt.

Thanks, TonyE. That did it. I didn't have any problems until I undated AVG (my antivirus program). It installed a toolbar and messed up my settings. But even that works now.
