Hey, I just installed winamp.

And some winamp plugins were installed on my firefox browser. I've uninstalled and disabled as much as I can. But when I try to use the address bar to access pages without typing in the full URL, the google 'feeling lucky' doesn't work anymore. It takes me to the winamp/google search for what I typed instead.

How do revert back to the default settings?

  1. Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
  2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
  3. Locate the preference keyword.URL, right-click on it and choose Reset

Note the default location bar search is Google "browse by name" rather than "I'm feeling lucky". If you specifically want the "I'm feeling lucky" search, double-click on the preference and change the value to this link:

http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=
