Firefox has no built in option to block sites. You can use an add-on such as ProCon Latte to filter sites, but add-ons are quite easy to bypass.

An alternative is to use a third-party web filtering application such as the free K9 Web Protection which includes options to block porn sites and keeps logs of sites visited.

You can also set up an account at OpenDNS to block porn sites, for more details on that see http://www.opendns.com/familyshield

As for the log of sites that Firefox stores, it is known as the History and is accessible using the History menu. In the History menu select "Show all history" to view details of sites visited. It is easy for people to clear the Firefox history, and private browsing will stop sites from being stored in the Firefox history. The K9 web protection application keeps a separate log of sites visited.
