Hi, I download a lot of files over the net but the files I download cannot be downloaded using download managers. They can only be downloaded using the default download application of firefox.

To improve the download speed I would like to implement multiple threads for each download. How can I do this ?

I don't want to use download managers like fat rat or uget as they don't work with my specific sites.

Cheers, Kachaloo

You are missing the point: the fact that you can't use such a download manager is because the server doesn't want such multiple connections. FTP servers can only have a limited number of simultaneous connections and by using more you deprive others from connecting. So be patient or download at a time when the server is not heavily loaded.
