Not much more I can say ... I have downloaded several 'Add Ons', and had a row of buttons (Add On Toolbar ?) that showed just under my Yahoo Toolbar, but now they are gone. I've tried "View, Toolbars", "Tools, Options", "Manage You AddOns", etc. and "Help" wasn't any help. Does anyone have any suggestions how I might bring this "toolbar" back?

If you mean the bar at the bottom then that is the Status Bar: View > [X] Status Bar

If you mean toolbars at the top then you should see them listed in View > Toolbar if the extension that adds the toolbar is installed and working properly. You can check the Tool > Error Console after starting Firefox for related errors.

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button (in Firefox 4: right-click the extension -> "Find Updates") to do a compatibility check.
