Often when I open a new window with a website, a second tab opens with the wikipedia site. I cannot se how I could have asked for this. I have also seen it when opening a neb tab. I like and often use wikipedia. But I would be very worried if other sites use such behaviour.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

If not, see this:

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
