Firefox says Shockwave 11.5.9r620 isn't up to date but when I ask it to update it, it re-installs this same version and then when I check it *still* says it's not up to date.

This has happened with the last three versions of Firefox 3.6.13, 14, and 15. With 13 and 14 I figured it was a glitch. It happens with SeaMonkey too. It doesn't happen with Camino, which is quite happy with my "obsolete" 1.5.9r620 plugin. If there is a later version, where can I get it? Asking Firefox to update it just gives me the same "obsolete" one back. I tried uninstalling the plugin and then reinstalling it and that doesn't help. The plugin does seem actually to work at Adobe's test site which *doesn't* say it's obsolete.

After you download the Flash installer, quit Firefox by File -> Quit and only after that try to launch the installer.

Then start Firefox and follow the steps at managing the flash plugin, specifically the test page which would tell you whether Flash is up to date.

Please let us know whether that works.

It's the DirectorShockwave plugin, not the Flash Plugin. The web page <http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/> says I have 11.5.9r620 installed. The related page <http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/> says I have Flash 10.2.152.33 installed. The page <https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/> says that Flash 10.2r152 is up to date but that Shockwave for Director 11.5.9 is outdated. Quitting Firefox, and re-re-re-installing Shockwave for Director 11.5.9r620 leads to the same complaint of it being out-of-date when I re-open Firefox and re-check at <https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/>. I think your check page is just plain wrong, because I can't find *any* version of Shockwave for Director newer than the one I have. If there is one, where can I get it?
