How can I set the bookmarks in the toolbar to text (I have tons of them abbreviated), while enabling icons for back, forward, autofill, etc.?

Downloaded Firefox 4.0. Little icons appeared next to the numerous bookmarks I have in the toolbar, so have of the sites were pushed off-screen. When I changed it to text only, the back, forward, and auto-fill buttons disappeared, leaving unsatisfying text. Can you modify to where you can choose what is text and what is icon? I liked how I had it in 3.6.

Add code to userChrome.css below the @namespace line.

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */
#personal-bookmarks .toolbarbutton-icon {
 display:none !important;
}

As much as I appreciate this, I have not the slightest clue what to do. I am a complete and utter novice. Could you give a quick tutorial? Thank you.
