What does it mean that a plug-in can only run in 32-bit mode?
When I go to write a new email this message pops up "This page requires a plug-in that can only run in 32-bit mode" and then I'm asked it I want to restart in 32-bit mode. What does that mean and can I set it up so I don't get this message. It doesn't seem to effect anything if I ignore it.

That means that you have to start Firefox in 32 bit if you want to use that plugin.
- Close Firefox
- Open the Applications folder in Finder
- Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
- Select "Get Info"
- Select "Open in 32-bit mode"
- Close the "Firefox Info" window
- Restart Firefox
Had the same problem - couldn't insert attachments to my emails. I have disabled Silverlight Plugin, which solved this problem.
So far, haven't fond anything that would be affected by this.
i didn't have this problem until i updated to firefox 4. and in regard to the above response, yes, you can close down and restart in 32-bit mode, but i would rather it be fixed.
