I click on ','''CUSTOMIZ'E I drag the icons from the box onto the the toolbar, I move the 'icons around and drag 'space holders onto the toolbar, putting some of them on an additional toolbar that I add, so that everything is arranged the way I want it; I click DONE, everything looks great, but the next time I open Firefox everything has returned to to the default layout.

Thanks for not allowing a preview of my post so that I could edit it before posting it. I was trying to put some things in bold type to make getting the gist of things easier for you--naturally, you made that difficult too--but instead you made me look like a moron.

You did it again. In the "reply" above you won't allow two spaces after the period at the end of the first sentence. I tried to edit it, and it looked like I did, but when I clicked on UPDATE REPLY, your illiterate version appeared (I wonder how this "reply" is going to appear).

Have any of you tried creating a new profile, customizing it without installing any add-ons and then see if your customizations are lost after closing and then starting Firefox, again?

Anyone comfortable enough should go to Standard diagnostics - Firefox in the Mozillazine Knowledge Base, follow the instructions there and see if an add-on (extension or theme) may be causing the resetting of your customizations.
