Cannot uninstall 'http://vshare.toolbarhome.com/?hp=df' from Add on list, or by reinstalling Firefox.
Hi, I am currently having problems with loading my Firefox browser (uk) due to inadvertently clicking on a 'vshare.toolbarhome.com' which now always come up as :-
Http://vshare.toolbarhome.com/?hp=df When trying to load Firefox.
I have been to the vshare web site but their Uninstall instruction do not work. When clicking on tools then add-ons, vshare nor toolbar appear in order to delete.
In frustration I Uninstalled Firefox 3.6.16 and reinstalled. At first the page operated normally but on shutting down and when restarting the Firefox again came with the vshare opening page.?? I have done the same with an upgrading to Firefox 4.0 but with the same results unfortunately.
Can you help in me getting rid of the add-on.
Thanks.

Either clear the vshare.toolbarhome.com bla.bla. address in keyword.URL in about:config or eg replace it with "http://www.google.com.my/search?q=" to let google search for you.

The solution to-date is to change the home page in :- Tools - Options - General
This is not the solution, as the problem is not how to change the startweb page. The problem occurs when you use the address toolbar (the one where the addresses are written) as it was a google search toolbar; the results are shown through a kind of "vshare search service": http://vshare.toolbarhome.com/search.aspx?srch=ku&q=that%27s+an+example This vshare.toolbarhome.com doesn't appear in any of "View / toolbar", neither in windows "Add/Remove Programs"
