how do I get 4.0 to expand a parts description picture when the cursor hovers over it. 3.5 OK . IE OK. see http://www.marinepartsplus.com/catalog/mercruiser/serial/5.7L_2_BBL._GM_350_V-8_1998-2001/816596+98/2697-40

I look up parts for marine engine. Hover over the picture and it disappears in 4.0. It should show an expanded window for the parts. It worked great in 3.5+ and in IE. "Error in parsing value 'filter'. Declaration dropped. " shows as a warning in error console.

To get the source code of the web page changed you will need to report the problems to the site owner. This is not something I am knowledgeable about but from the above reply my conjecture is that the site is using a deprecated method that is now failing.

At present the error I see in the error console when clicking on the parts diagram of that page is :

  • Warning: Error in parsing value for 'filter'. Declaration dropped.

After a quick look it seems possible it is a firefox 4 problem, or at least some difference between the versions after 3.6

I do see the problem of the image disapearing, and the image magnifier not working when using firefox 5, but it does work in firefox 3.6.

I tried in safe mode, after clearing cache, and even after disabling the firefox html5 parser. I have not tried looking at any errors yet, or at when this problem appeared. Just thought I would post as confirmation problem is seen by at least one other.

Have you noticed anything similar happening on any other sites ?

I am not a developer or programmer. I would like the source code fixed to give back a process that worked and was a valuable tool when using the web.. Or where do I get a good copy of the older Firefox so I can remove the version 4.

What we had worked quite well..

Thanks for the link for the down grade to the Firefox. All I could find before the link was 4.0. I appreciate the help and hope the new version gets the problem corrected.
