The whole screen has changed and I can't get anything to restore. All I did was add a new bookmark. What can I do? Roger

Did toolbars disappear?

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

  • Go to "View > Toolbars" to set which toolbars to display.
  • Check-mark "Menu Bar" and other hidden toolbars with a left-click to make them visible.

Cor-el, thank you for your response. I cannot attach a screenshot and the f10 and alt did not work. I think I don't like firefox4 so I uninstalled it and now want to download and install what I had before - 3.6.17. I'm having some trouble with that. Roger

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 to toggle).
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.
