Make sure you are not in Full Screen mode, F11 toggles Full Screen on/off.

Use the "Alt" key to temporarily display toolbars. You can restore display of a toolbar through the View > Toolbars menu. (and put the tabs back to the bottom of the toolbars).

You can make Firefox 4.0.1 and Firefox 5.0 look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)

lt is possible that the address bar got removed from the toolbar. You should be able to find it in the Customize window. If not, then the localstore.rdf file in the profile may be corrupted. In that case, move it out of the profile, restart Firefox and it will make a new one. Then you will have to redo any toolbar customizations.

Incidentally, your syntax for that address is incorrect. It should be:

http://hartford.courant.com

'Navigation Toolbar' is required to be selected to show the address bar. TRY From the classic menu: 'View' then 'Toolbars' then select 'Navigation Toolbar' if no tick is displayed. Firefox 4 and 5 top left orange 'Firefox' then 'options' then 'Navigation Toolbar'
