When I boot up, Firefox does not start up, I have to click on the icon to open it. I am using Windows 7.

Windows XP had a way to add it to the start up, apparently, Windows 7 does not.

Chosen solution

This sounds very similar to earlier versions of Windows:

Run a program automatically when Windows starts

Rather than create a new Firefox shortcut, you should be able to right-click the existing shortcut on your desktop, and copy. Then paste it into the Startup folder.

Does that work?
