Why isn't Firefox able to connect to any web page, while Internet Explorer can? It says it can't establish a connection, and in Internet Explorer it works just fine.

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.uc.cl.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
   moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
   connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

This is what comes up when i try to use Firefox, i have uninstalled and installed again several times, but nothing has happened. I know this comes up when you dont have a connection to the internet, but i can connect to other servers like Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. Please help !!!!!
