Have previously had FF loaded on this computer. An update caused the program not to act properly and was uninstalled. Am unable to download FF using Explorer 9. Download will not complete. OS=Windows 7 64 Bit.

I have tried each of these sites. The download will not complete; it downloads to 99% but will not finish. I have truned off the firewall and anti-virus (StopSign), but this did not help.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

See "Disable virus scanning in Firefox preferences - Windows"

Check and tell if its working.

Unable to complete the download after following instructions above. Really like Firefox and will try again later (have been using for several years). In the meantime will use Google Chrome (have just downloaded and installed with no issues). Thank you for your help.

Apparently this computer, for whatever reason, will not complete the download of FF6. Perhaps it will accept a later update of FF6, will try back then. For now, will just have to use Google Chrome (at least my bookmarks could be imported). Thanks for your help.
