Can someone please tell me why Firefox has been crashing, repeatedly, over the past two days? I've checked on the version I'm running, and it's up to date. Also, all add-ons + Windows versions are up to date. What do I do now?
Several crash reports have been sent to you over the past two days.

Currently, when Firefox 6.0.2 does not crash as soon as it opens, it will not execute any url, but either sits there catatonically or just crashes. It will not even execute about:crashes at this time. I will try killing other programs to see if that is of any help.
i have 658 these damn thing am getting sick of Firefox

that last upgrade of foxfire fucking sucks
My husband has a HP notebook running 64 bit/Windows 7. Everything has been running fine. He firefox last night, everything was fine. Today it keeps crashing. Not sure what else I can do at the moment except us IE until some type of solution comes from Firefox. Very discouraging for him because he's new to this.
I have 43 submitted crash reports in a little over /two hours/. That is insane! I too have Constant Guard, but I sure hope that's not the problem. It seems to have slowed after I uninstalled and reinstalled, but because of the crashing and the reinstalling, I lost probably around 80 tabs over 2 windows. I use tabs to hold pages to quickly get back to to read (not necessarily going to new pages in each tab), so they don't show up in the history window as new entries when a session is restored, making it EXTREMELY difficult to get back if I can't restore the session. (And the restore function in the all history window is USELESS.)
Did anyone find a solution? Everyone in my company upgraded and are all looking at me to snap my finger and everything magically works again.

Downgrade is the only solution I have found. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Installing%20a%20previous%20version%20of%20Firefox?s=firefox+5&as=s
I did see an interesting item pop up from Vipre(company anti-virus) that seems to think this new version is a virus or trojan... I am going to look into this a bit more.
I recommend everyone go to Bugzilla, and either submit a bug report, or vote for an existing bug that is similar to your issue. From what I can tell, that's where the developers are. There's some good technical jargon/stuff going on there.
As far as a solution, I'm still NOT having problems with Firefox since I uninstalled Constant Guard the other day. It's obvious this doesn't work for everyone.
In the meantime, I'm keeping an eye on Bugzilla, to see how they're progressing.
I have diabled add ons to Firefox and that has seemed to work so far.
I am having problems with crashing. I had hoped that the new software was going to stop it, but it made it even worse. Here are all of my crash reports.

So yeah I need help with this issue!
edit: fixed as things were mashed up and removed outdated 2010 reports.

@ShadoweKnyte
That is a report related to PInvokeCalliWorker and can be caused by IdVault (Comcast's Constant Guard)
I don't think anyone at Firefox is working on this problem. I seems as if the problem is being ignored. My problems started with 6.0.1 and have continued with 6.0.2. I DO NOT have Comcast Constant Guard, so please do not tell me that is my problem. If the new versions are incapable of working with internet security programs, then it (Firefox) is worthless. They need to figure this out and fix it. IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM PLEASE AND IT'S SOLUTION!
IdVault may have been added by other software, so it might still be the cause of the problem.
If you see PInvokeCalliWorker mentioned in the crash report then that is most likely the case.
- bug 684748 - (Mostly) 6.0.1 crashes with IdVault
BKJT, nobody is saying that Comcast Constant Guard is the only real cause of crashes as for example a trojan malware has been one of the other main causes also.
Also Firefox is just the current name of the browser (was called Firebird and before that Phoenix) as the company is Mozilla.
xxxx firefox!
Modified
Since their update all it does is crash. At least twice an hour. Loads of times I've lost work I've done, emails I've written. This time I was writing. so xxxx FIREFOX!!!
Modified
I can't even open firefox 6.02 - I've tried it in safe mode, uninstalling and reinstalling it, etc. I've been submitting each crash to the crash reporter, but it's been entirely unusable for me for the last week.
I'm having this problem too. this is the message I get when I click on details.

I had installed Constant Guard from Comcast and I use Firefox. Firefox kept crashing constantly and a blue line was on my Google search and I could not see what I was typing in search bar. I uninstalled Constant Guard today. It was perfect! No more crashing. I just now reinstalled Constant Guard and everything is working fine. If you are still having problems and you have Constant Guard, try the above.
Hi Everyone, I upgraded my firefox to version 9 and it keeps crashing, so I changed back to version 8 but still got the same. Can someone help me to try and fix it please. :-)
