bookmarks, toolbars, back function are all gone. How do I get to my old format?

Firefox looks entirely different today. I can no longer see toolbars, bookmarks, the back button, help, the address bar, and most everything that was there yesterday.

Most likely, this is a problem with your profile. Go to the Orange Firefox button -> Help -> Restart with addons disabled. Firefox will restart and ask you if you want to make any changes permanent. Select "Reset all toolbars and controls," then "Make changes and restart." If this doesn't fix it, you may need to repeat the process, but select other options.
