You can enable/disable plugins via the Addon Manager (Firefox button / Tools menu -> Add-ons). See: Use plugins to play audio, video, games and more

Firefox button > Add-ons > Plugins > "Shockwave Flash" > Enable OR Tools > Add-ons > Plugins > "Shockwave Flash" > Enable if using the Menu Bar.
