It won't let me drag windows as suggested at https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Tabbed%20browsing?s=drag+windows&r=0&as=s#w_moving-a-tab-to-a-new-window

The tab just remains in the same window.

is your currently running firefox profile consuming more than a gig of ram?

Grab one of the "restart" firefox extensions, restart firefox with it (which should retain your tabs and windows),

can you now drag windows?

How do I check to see if firefox is consuming more than a gig of ram?

Restarting firefox works but it disrupts my gmail chat - the chat windows disappear. Is there a way to fix it without restarting firefox?
