Tools > Options > Advanced > Network >

[x] Override automatic cache management
Limit cache to 0 MB of space

That may not work that way and you can disable the cache by setting this pref to false.
If you run Firefox in Private Browsing then the disk cache is disabled and only the memory cache is used.

Disabling the memory cache as well is not recommended because Firefox needs some cache to work properly.
