Firefox 7.0.1 keeps freezing regularily, sometimes even without clicking anything.
Right. So once every 7 or 8 minutes it seems my Firefox freezes. It stays frozen for 30 seconds or so and then goes back to normal. It's been going on for probably 2 weeks and the only thing I can recall "changing" around that time is I downloaded a new version of AVG.
Here's a list of things I've done, all without success: -Rebooted -Ran Firefox in Safe Mode with all add-ons disabled -Uninstalled Firefox and deleted the Moxilla folder, then reinstalled Firefox -Rebooted in Safe Mode with Networking -Uninstalled AVG
On a normal day, I only run three add-ons in Firefox: Satus-4-Evar, Ad Block Plus, and whatever add-on AVG provides. I don't know the name of the latter because it hasn't been installed since I deleted AVG (and subsequently reinstalled).
I can have as little as one window open when it freezes, and sometimes all I have to do is move the MOUSE and it freezes. I don't even need to click anything. What really gets to me is the amazing regularity of the freezing bouts.
Any ideas? I'm not completely tech-savvy but my little brother is, and he doesn't have any idea what it could be either.

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 256 to 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
Tweeking network.http.max-connections doesn't work, mine was already set to 48 and Firefox freezes on me for 1-2 minutes hundreds of times a day.
This silence from Firefox support is just inexcusable. I'm at my wits end, after being a loyal Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox user since 1994, I'm thinking about leaving for Chrome.
