Does the message at some active sites "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page" imply that a worm or the like is attempting to redirect to a hidden page?
The subject message occurs on sites I have activated from bookmarks, including my banking sites. What should I do about this warning? If it can safely be ignored, why does Firefox bother, causing me to worry that a worm or virus might at work in my PC? Thanks for some elucidation. Richard

No, It's a warning the page is redirecting you elsewhere. There are a lot of valid reasons why a page might do that.
A new page replaces the old page Google buys up a another company and redirects you to another page.

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
