Need to Restart to Exit Firefox
Hello, Both my friend and I have Firefox 7.0.1 and Windows XP SP3. We are using two different computers but sharing the same internet connection/modem. Our Firefox have been working perfectly until two days ago. Both of our Firefox suddenly stop responding during surfing and we cannot exit Firefox even using the Windows Task Manager. We have to restart our computers to get rid of Firefox process. And even after we restart, oftentimes Firefox will stop responding as soon as the Firefox starts loading the tabs. I have followed all the help articles including: Start in Safe Mode, make sure all plugins are updated, and I have created a new Firefox Profile in my computer and Firefox still has the same problem. I have also uninstalled Firefox completely (keeping all datas) and then reinstall it. The problem remains.
We have both scanned for viruses/spywares and both computers are clean. All programs work normally in both computers except Firefox. Sometimes, if Firefox hanged, it will also freeze my computer as well. But most of the times, I just left Firefox process on and continue other work.
Lastly, we both have no problem using either Chrome or IE. I called my ISP and they have no idea either but will try to figure it out since we only have problems when we use Firefox to get online.
If anyone has any suggestions/comments, they will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You must use the "Processes" tab of the Windows Task Manager, not the "Applications" Tab.
dmcritchie -- Thank you for your reply. Yes, I always use the Process Tab to end any processes. I did that but the Firefox Process just sat there and won't disappear, no matter how many times I have tried.
