Your Bookmarks are stored in a single file, places.sqlite, in your Profile folder. To open your Profile folder go to Help then Troubleshooting Information, then next to "Profile Directory" click the "Open Containing Folder" button to open the Profile Folder.

places.sqlite got overwritten somehow. even when I tried to copy places.sqlite.corrupt it didn't help. unfortunately i didn't save bookmarks separately. i've tried to look up other suggestion and didn't seem to help. unfortunately this was my main browser before frequent upgrades with issues, so losing all my bookmarks is a big loss. if somehow i could recover bookmarks from places.sqlite.corrupt it would be great.
