I know there is an update available because I use FF at work and it updated a couple days ago. I'm trying here at home but when I go to About Firefox and tell it to check for an update it says my browser is up to date.

@hockeyhouse, only Mac users using Firefox 8.0 got the idle/manual update patch for 8.0.1 as the 8.0.1 was not really needed for Windows and especially Linux users. Win/Mac and Linux users using Firefox 4.0 to 7.0.1 from Mozilla will however get served 8.0.1 if they check for updates.

For Windows users it is only really something to try if one is get Firefox crashes upon startup due to using a older version of Roboform (7.6.1 and older) and will not update it or for those who are getting crashes upon startup for other reasons.

If you are not getting crashes then there is little point.

My work computer is a PC and FF updated by itself. I don't even know what Roboform is; unless it's native I don't have it. I'm only wanting the update because FF stops responding ALL. THE. TIME. and I was hoping it would help. Knock on wood, it hasn't flat out crashed in a while.

Thanks Swarnava and James for the quick responses.
