When I got my new computer, Firefox was installed but apparently not the automatic downloads. Can I install it later?

I ignored the notification to install automatic downloads because I presumed that it had been done in the computer shop. There was a deadline of which I wasn't aware, namely 30 August. Now it seems impossible to install automatic downloads.

Can I still install automatic downloads?

Sounds that you got some special Firefox version on that computer and not the official Firefox version.

Uninstall that Firefox 8.0.1 installation and get Firefox from the official Mozilla site.

You can find the latest Firefox release here:

Firefox 8.0.1 was released by Mozilla on November 21, so where does the "There was a deadline of which I wasn't aware, namely 30 August" come into play?
