New version installed and: unable to reopen last session, doesnt ask to keep tabs before closing, even minimising a tab makes it lost! Followed instructions for settings but no results.
Minimising a tab makes it lost, it doesnt stay in the taskbar. On closing Firefox, I cant get it to ask to memorise the tabs and of course, it doesnt reopen any when starting although I went through the instructions on how to install all that and made the settings for reopening the last session, etc. IS THERE A WAY TO GET MY OLD VERSION BACK EXACTLY AS IT WAS AND TO QUIT ALL POSSIBLE UPDATES???!!!!!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:
- Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

Thanks for trying to help but this is the situation: private browsing wasnt on at all, The settings were: in General: Show my windows and tabs from last time on starting ff; in Privacy: Remember history which as you suggested I changed now to: Use Custom settings for History. I had to do it several times because it keeps getting back (and still is) to "remember history" although I take care to press OK each time.
Also, during all this time, under History, the option "restore previous session" is not active. After your reply, I also tried to enter private browsing and got a warning that I'll lose all data (I guess all tabs?) if I continue. After a few more tries I managed to get into (and out of) private browsing with normal procedure.
Important, windows update was installed few hours before mozilla update and I guess the problems are connected to both. When I lose my patience, I'll try to get back to old version, hope I'll manage but anyway, thanks for trying to help!
