I want to move FF to a new machine. I'd like everything moved so that the new installation looks and acts exactly like the old one. From reading the KB and the forum, I see 3 possible ways: (1)MozBackup, (2)Firefox's Synch feature and (3)Manually backing up and restoring my FF Profile.

Which would be best?

Sync is worth a try, but it's not complete, so you definitely need something more. Personally I lean toward a manual backup, i.e., Windows level copy of the entire profile folder. I've never tried MozBackup.

MozBackup is only available for the Windows platform and not for Linux.

This program is freeware (even for commercial use) and works on Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/7.

You will have to backup the files in the profile folder and copy them to a new profile.
