Nectar tool bar disappears after Firefox 12 installed
I installed Firefox 12 and my nectar toolbar disappeared.
I have reinsted it several times to no avail. All I can see is a blue toolbar where the nectar toolbar should be.
Any thoughts?

I also have the same problem with firefox.
The only light to be shed on this so far is nectars response on twitter:
They say they are aware of it and are looking into it.
Same here on Firefox v14.0.1- it's disappeared but Nectar Toolbar v1.300.428 exists in add-ons

A response from Support@freecause.com, which solved the problem. Note that their soltion doesn't quite match items on 14.0.1.

I do not understand why this worked, as I didn't have to change anything.
Spot on, this has restored my search bar. Thanks.
I dont think you changed anything.
I just uninstalled the toolbar again. Went to nectar.com clicked install.
Only this time i got a popup window about the settings.
Never had that before, I think they changed it.
Maybe i spoke too soon? Activate for points. I have done that 10 times now and it still says activate for points and point unavailable.
But i can see my points balance and can access the statement data.
The "Points unavailable" refers to the fact that your current page is not one where you can collect Nectar points. Try going to the Nectar homepage, then through collectpoints etc to argos/halfords/ebay, & it should change to "collectingpoints".
I think I had to click "Activate for points" twice - perhaps with the Anti Virus switched off, or perhaps having come out of Firefox - can't exactly remember.
Clicked it 20+ times. restarted firefox, restarted the PC still nothing.
The only thing i cant find it a way to log out?
When i start firefix its got my points balance already there. Can you log out?
Mine seems to be back after removing & re installing. I had to add points a couple of times, which appeared after I completely logged off and then on again

Mine too is now back after removing add-on and restarting Firefox. Did not need to re-download the toolbar - it just appeared complete with points!
Hi Everyone, Yes mine is back on also. I have done nothing at all except that I logged into Mozilla, noticed the toolbar was still missing, hit the 'view' tab and hey presto, the 'Nectar toolbar' option has returned but was unticked, so I ticked it and the missing toolbar was restored together with the points total.
I had the response from support to do all the security changes this morning and decided to wait till I came home from work this evening to do anything and voila, my toolbar was back without doing anything at all including my points totals
Disabled AV and Firewall. Still the same.
Tried it again a couple of hours later and its all back
Maybe the best approach next time it do nothing.
Wait for it to come back?
Mine's back too and I haven't done anything, so I think there's been a general fix. Incidentally, when it was not working, I could not get it to work on IE8 either so I don't think it was just a problem with firefox. I wonder if Nectar IT dept have done something.
Also, in reply to cjar1950, the 'points unavailable' has often happened to me on websites that definitely accept nectar points (such as Argos and Sainsbury's) and I have to then go to Nectar.com and manually look for the shop in the eshop list then go to it that way to sort of 'force' the points to start registering
I think maybe there are a lot of bugs with Nectar website; on Sunday I was very frustrated to be making a large purchase and being unable to use the 'click through to eshop' method of collecting points, it just wouldn't redirect to any of the retailer websites so I couldn't collect the points.
