After the latest update (12, I think? I can't open it long enough to check version) every time I open firefox, it crashes immediately. I have tried starting it in safe mode to no avail. Please help!

Try and update Firefox. If you can't (Sounds like it) check this out >>> Crashes Try updating Windows Vista using Windows Update.
