What's the maximum number of bookmarks the Library can hold?
I want to bring all my bookmarks together into one place, preferably the Firefox Library function. Will it hold 3,000? 5,000? With those quantities, will it still retrieve them quickly? Any problems with this many bookmarks? Thanks to all.

You shouldn't run into a maximum number of Bookmarks.
You can check if it works on your computer without slowing down when testing if visited sites are bookmarks or entered via the location bar.
I find that with many bookmarks, the bookmarks folder slows, especially when I (a) enter a new bookmark and then (b) move it to the appropriate location. At that stage, the bookmarks folder tends to freeze, I have to close it and re-open for the next 'bookmarking'
Modified
My hunch was correct.
Today I reduced my bookmarks from 23,184 to 4,747
Result: bookmarks folder is now much easier to use No more freezing!
