Can't disable popup blocker, always asks whether I want to allow the Popup or not?
Whether I enable or disable the popup blocker it insists on blocking every popup.
I visit and post on a number of forums and after posting it always asks whether I want to allow or not, when in reality all that is happening is that I have made a post or reply to a thread and the page is just returning to include my post in the thread.
I re-installed my computer a couple of weeks ago and this has happened constantly since then.

Seem like it maybe sorted, if I uncheck the box, warn if a page redirects or reload a page.
Hmm seems a bit daft when all that the page is doing is displaying your post on a forum.

So if you go to the Firefox button, then Options, then Content, and uncheck the pop up blocker, it still blocks pop-ups? Do youhave an addon that is blocking them perhaps?

I have no other pop-up blocker installed, currently the pop-up blocker is unchecked, but it is still blocking my replies unless I press allow!

Are you sure that message is not about redirecting or reloading a page?
- Firefox > Options > Options (or Tools > Options) > Advanced/General tab > un-check "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

Will you supply the address of a site where this is happening, please? If it is a site requiring log-in/sign-in, I will not be able to test.

Sorry but it happens on all the sites I have to login with as they are forums, they use phpBB and VBulletin to name a couple of the styles.
Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some can block pop-ups, so if the settings in Firefox are correct then you should look there.
Hi Cor-el, I'm using Windows 7's built in firewall and Sophos SBE Anti-virus, both of which worked find before re-installing.
