After installing free Avast, I cannot get sandbox default out of Firefox
I had been running paid Avast, which puts sandbox in start-up features for Firefox. That feature I could ignore with another choice. Just today, I installed free version of Avast. Now, there is no choice to run outside sandbox; sandbox is now the default for Firefox. How do I get rid of the sandbox default? The cursor hangs; draw bar hangs; when I type, the print display is delayed; backspacing is delayed. Help!!!

hello, this is more a question about functionality of avast, that we probably cannot answer here (unless there's a contributor who is familiar with the software).
when you're in search for a free anti-virus program, i'd recommend ms security essentials which is reliable & quite light on resources and doesn't hook into other firefox with toolbars, customizations and other stuff that isn't really necessary...

I use and recommend Avira Personal Free - http://www.free-av.com/
It doesn't "hook" into Firefox either.
I have had MS Security Essentials. I had problems for which I could not get answers (no responses came into email in-box & trying to find proper link was like hunting for a needle in a haystack). I love Avast products; did not have any problem with free Avast. Was offered a great deal by Avast; took it but could not renew. Went back to free Avast - now there are huge problems, because of the sandbox. I have contacted technical at Avast - will wait to see if they can help. Thanks for trying.
