until 3 days ago i could play pogo games on firefox. all of a sudden it won't work, keeps telling me to download latest version of java, which i already have.

What version of Java do you have? Try to go to uninstall all versions of java from your computer, then install the latest version from www.java.com

Note that Firefox is a 32 bit application, so you need the 32 bit Java JRE.
