Hi Sonie, sorry you are having problems.

You seem to be trying the correct trouble shooting steps and seem to have narrowed it down so that it appears to be a problem on your computer.

Just a hunch but I would try disabling Firefox Firebug as a first step, as that is not something I leave running unless it is needed.

If that fails then try Firefox in SafeMode then create and try a new clean profile.

I suppose at present you are not sure whether or not other sites are causing a similar problem because you probably manly repeatedly open your own site.

Glad you figured out what the cause was, thanks for posting back.

I edited one of my earlier posts I intended to suggest disabling Firebug, not Firefox, it may be worth checking if that is involved with your problems. If it is a problem with HTML Validator

I just submit a topic on their forum. http://www.htmlpedia.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1584

Their addon may not work with HTML 5 and Google Rich snippets.
